About Us

What We Do

We are senior citizens who found, after long and fulfilling careers, that the most meaningful chapter was still ahead. With high-caliber experience behind us, we chose to give back to society with dedication, commitment, and focus. We do this through Seniors For Change.

Founded in 2002, we had simple beginnings. A chance encounter with a group of barefoot children on their way to school moved our founders deeply, and they decided to support them through education. They soon expanded their mission to include care for the destitute with support for a Humanitarian Home. Today we carry their legacy forward with great pride and a deep commitment.

For a better life
through education

Message From Chairperson

Dr. Atul Sinha

Chairperson | Seniors For Change

It is an honor to be part of Seniors For Change.

Grateful for the opportunities they received, our founders chose to return the favor. Seniors For Change was born to create opportunities for those who never had them, and we carry that legacy forward today. Our education programs now touch the lives of over 2,000 children each year, and our humanitarian care program provides dignity to 180+ destitute children and elders.

Our journey has been filled with remarkable people — volunteers, donors, and scholars who have gone on to inspire others and even fund scholarships for students who come after them. Working with these bright, determined young people, knowing you are helping shape the next generation of leaders, is a deeply fulfilling experience.

We invite you to join us as a donor, volunteer, or member. To share in the joy of making a real difference in the lives of so many deserving children and bringing relief to the destitute.

The Outcomes We Work For

Decades of experience on one side. Ambition and ability on the other. When the two meet, this is what happens.

Our Programs

Four programs, each addressing a specific barrier. Together, they take a young person from primary school to a career — giving them the tools, confidence, and skills to lead.

Merit Scholarship

Financial barriers should never end a promising education.

We provide scholarships to 150 students annually. Our Mentoring Scholars Project pairs students with experienced professionals who guide them through spoken English, CV writing, interview skills, and career planning — because access to education means little without the confidence to use it.

150 active scholars     6,000+ graduates

Model School

Strong foundations. Better outcomes. Starting in primary school.

Since 2022, we have been transforming two government primary schools into model institutions through remedial classes, yoga, co-curricular activities, and infrastructure upgrades. The children who walk through these doors today are tomorrow’s first-generation graduates.

2 schools     250 children     Since 2022

Digital Education

Digital literacy is no longer optional. We are making it universal.

We are establishing computer labs across seven government educational institutions with 225 desktop stations and 180 laptops. NIIT-certified training gives students the technical skills employers now expect as standard — ensuring no child is left behind by the digital economy.

7 institutions     2,000 students     NIIT-certified

AiR Humanitarian Home

Our commitment does not end at the classroom door.

Since 1979, AiR Humanitarian Home has cared for abandoned seniors and children with special needs in Bangalore. Seniors For Change funds food, healthcare, and infrastructure for 180+ children and elders who have nowhere else to go.
