“It is not beyond our power to create a world in which all children have access to a good education” - Nelson Mandela
If, like us, you believe that education is the key to a better life for the underprivileged, we invite you to explore our strategically structured educational programs. Seniors For Change comprises senior citizens who have had fulfilling corporate careers and wish to give back to society. It offers three programs: the SFC Merit Scholarship Program, the SFC Model School Program, and the SFC Digital Education Program.
Why Choose SFC
To begin with, we have much more to offer if you are interested in investing in education, especially for the underprivileged. Our focus is entirely on providing educational opportunities for those who need it the most. At the core of our initiatives are three well-rounded programs: the SFC Merit Scholarship Program, the Model School Program, and the Digital Education Program. These three programs are strategically designed for children in government schools and are implemented across 11 institutions. Through these programs, we reach and positively impact the lives of 4,000 children annually.
Additionally, these programs are managed by a group of dedicated seniors with successful career backgrounds. Having benefited from quality education themselves, they deeply understand its transformative power and are committed to using education as a tool to lift underprivileged children out of poverty.
What sets our programs apart is the personal touch. Our members are known for going above and beyond—often visiting families who were considering withdrawing their daughters from school, urging them to continue their education despite challenges. Though they sometimes faced resistance, they remained determined. Furthermore, these members have taken a special interest in the health and well-being of the students, especially given their challenging family situations. In some cases, such as when a child was severely burned, a member personally covered the long-term medical treatment costs. In another instance, a member provided financial assistance to buy a wheelchair for a student’s mother.
